The firt iue would be to et objective and univeral guideline, o that there would be no debate over who et the ethical code. The problem would be enforcing thee guideline. The Radio Televiion New Director Aociation and the Society of Profeional Journalit both have ethical code, which include repecting thoe whom you are reporting about and keeping confidentiality. Thoe ethical tandard are not enforced and o ome do not follow them. Some people believe in free peech at all cot. Free peech without retraint caue public outcry and violate people civil right like their right to privacy. The difficulty i that people ee any form of retraint a cenorhip and then claim that the government will begin running our live and making our deciion. If the ethical tandard agreed upon were univeral they would atify everyone and if the journalit would follow them there would be no need for government intervention.
