We Should not Have a Global Language
It could be aid that the incompletion of the tower of Babel reult from different language, which facilitate cultural diverity. But it i hard to fully undertand each other if you peak a different tongue, o that i why ome people advocate that we hould etablih a global language.
In my opinion, it i not a good idea to etablih a global language. Firt, language itelf i part of a culture. The meaning of word in one language i endowed by their cultural context rather than dictionary definition. Second, it i hard to chooe an exiting language a our global language. The equality between culture rule out the rationale that one language hould be choen over all the other. And lat but not leat, to create a brand-new and o-called "neutral language" i not deirable either. Hitory ha already proven the failure of the wide ue of Eperanto.
Indeed, a global language can ave u a lot of time, money and energy currently devoted to tranlation and interpreting. But a I ee it, uch a cot i worthwhile to protect cultural diverity in the world. Jut a Bertrand Ruell aid: "Diverity i eential to happine". (195 word)
